I received this email last week and thought I'd post it here. It has some very good information in it. I asked for permission from the author to post this but have not received an email back giving me that permission yet so I have left off the name. But I thought it imperative to post this.

Hello, I was surfing different knitting blogs when I found yours. I
think the idea of knitting items for Mothers having stillbirths is
wonderful. I used to work in the Birth Center at a hospital. One of
the most important things for me as a health care worker, was to make sure that
the babies were dressed and looked cute when giving them to the mothers and
fathers. It was always been difficult to find clothes that slide on
and off easily, without hurting the babies skin.

I have a few ideas for clothes that I would like to share with you. Dressing
gowns that are open in the back so you can tie them on the baby is very
helpful. Bonnets that tie around the neck are always good to have around
too.

I would like to thank you for doing this.
Many times the babies that never get to go home with their parents are the ones
that are forgotten. I will never forget the mothers, father, and babies
that I have helped through this difficult time.

And though I did not get them completed in time for the funeral, I did give them to Olivia's mother to put in her memory box.

I plan on buying some more yarn, especially soft, and knitting some more of these and perhaps a few gowns, and baby blankets; giving them to our local hospitals and funeral homes.
